To Copenhagen Airport

Copenhagen Airport is Denmark's main international airport and there are direct flights to Copenhagen Airport from most European cities. To Aarhus Airport

There are direct flights to Aarhus Airport from some European cities and Copenhagen. It is a 45-minute drive from Aarhus to the airport. When you arrive at the airport, you can take the airport shuttle (SAS), which stops at the railway station in Aarhus, close to Scandinavian Congress Centre. For further information, please visit

To Billund Airport

Aarhus is also serviced by another international airport, Billund Airport, which is located about 95 km south-west of Aarhus. A 90-minute shuttle bus ride takes you to Aarhus.

By train

If you travel by train all the way from your home country, your local railway station will inform you about prices and schedules.

By train to Aarhus

If you want to travel from Copenhagen to Aarhus by train, you can either take the airport shuttle to Copenhagen's central railway station or, more conveniently, take a direct train from the airport to Aarhus. The airport train station is located under Terminal 3 and tickets can be bought from the DSB ticket sale in Terminal 3. The train ride takes 3-4 hours and there are trains leaving for Aarhus every half hour during the day and the evening. When travelling in Denmark, there are special discount tickets for people below the age of 26, but you must obtain a Wild Card (ID card) from DSB first.
